kozēkozē Donates Nip Gloss to Indy Melanated Birthworker Collective

July 8, 2025kozēkozē, a perinatal personal hygiene products company on a mission to reduce mess and stress so that moms can better bond with their babies, has made a donation of Nip Gloss to the Indy Melanated Birthworker Collective.

Initiated by Courtney Hall in 2023, The Indy Melanated Birthworker Collective is a group of birthworkers dedicated to serve, uplift, and empower BIPOC families in making informed decisions from pre-conception to postpartum and beyond. IMBC strives to nurture positive birth experiences, educate families in the community, and support healthy transitions into parenthood.

Unifying birthworkers of color, IMBC creates a space for them to network, build relationships within the collective and with perinatal providers around Indianapolis, enhances their skillsets by attending professional development, and supports the community's needs together as a unit.

Through a grant, IMBC recently started a doula program with the goal of expanding access to doula care while improving birth outcomes for a more positive experience, and will include Nip Gloss in a welcome gift for participants.

“We created our products for all women along the perinatal journey,” said kozēkozē founder and CEO, Garrett Kusmierz. “Supporting IMBC ensures that women of color are included, which is extremely important to us as that demographic is historically reported to receive less supportive perinatal care than others. We believe that every woman deserves to be supported as she enters motherhood.”
